Requirements

The home must be your year-round primary residence and it has to be at least 12 months old

For income level 1 & 2, the property must be less than $1,230,000 in value under BC Assessment, if the value is over, then the household will be income level 3

You must have an active account with Fortis BC and BC Hydro, and pay your own utilities (i.e., not covered by strata or landlord). If you are a renter, you need a signed landlord consent form.

The residential types can be: single-family homes, secondary suites with separate meters, permanently fixed mobile homes, duplex, triplexes, rowhomes, or town homes (with individual meters)

You need an eligibility code, which can be registered here.

The home must be primarily heated by either, natural gas, propane, oil, electricity (e.g. electric baseboards, radiant ceilings, radiant floors, forced-air furnace/boiler), wood or other solid fuels

It must be done by a program registered contractor and applied within 6 months of said upgrade's invoice date

The new electric service must be increasing to 100, 200 or 400-amp service from your electric utility provided, eligible expenses include: utility connection fees, electrical panel upgrade, service mast alterations or replacement, conduit replacement, meter base alterations or replacements, weather head alteration or replacement
